Session #1: Managing Impossible P.E.O.P.L.E. (9:00 - 11:00)

Objectives:

1.     Learn the reasons people become difficult and disruptive.
2.     Identify the 8 types of difficult people, and their underlying motivations.
3.     Use the “Magic Question” to address disruptive behavior.
4.     Improve your confrontation skills.
5.     Understand how a well-designed intervention can turn around disruptive behavior.

 
Session #2: Physician Leadership in the Role of Disasters (11:00 - 12:00)
Shawn Collins, Public Health Preparedness Coordinator, Florida Department of Health, Panama City, FL
Objectives:

1.     Learn the roles of physician leaders in disasters.
2.     Understand community and other resources and their roles.
3.     Develop effective communications during disasters.

4.     Review and assessment of disasters, after-the-fact.

CME Accreditation
The Bays Medical Society (TBMS) is accredited by the Florida Medical Association (FMA) to provide continuing medical education to physicians. TBMS designates this educational activity for 3 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Attendees should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
