The Bays Medical Society was established as an organization in 1948 and has been serving the physicians and patients of the Panama City area ever since.
We are both a professional and scientific organization of medical and osteopathic physicians, and the local affiliate of both the Florida Medical Association (FMA) and the American Medical Association (AMA).
Although membership is voluntary, many physicians choose to join because they know they are most effective in attaining quality medical care with a strong team surrounding them.
Our members value superior relations between physicians and patients. Therefore, assistance is made available through our Board of Governors to mediate any unresolved grievances patients may have with physicians who are Society members.
The Bays Medical Society also provides cutting edge Continuing Medical Education to all physicians desiring to excel. Scientific Sessions are held every Spring that draw physicians near and far. The 2012 Spring Break Symposium will be held April 20-22, 2012 at the Bay Point Wyndham Resort.
Additionally, our Board of Governors routinely take time out of their busy schedules to advocate for patients and physicians at the local, State, and Federal level.
We hope to continue our mission of “Helping Our Physicians Help Patients” for a very long time.
